Snehitudu is a dubbing of the tamil film Nanban. Already this Bollywood blockbuster movie (3 Idiots) was released in hindi and Big hit the film in bollywood.

Pani (vijay), Venkat (Sriram) and Sanakkayala Ravi (Jeeva) who share a room in Ideal College of Engineering. Venki is studying engineering to pursue his father's wishes over his own wish. Venkat aim is become wild life photographer. Pani gives more importance to knowledge than marks. Ravi is an extremely timid person and his only goal is to get a good job to support his family. Pani encourages his friends to chase their dreams instead of submitting to burdens and exams. Virupaksha Sundaram aka Virus (Sathyaraj) is the principal of the college. Pari comes across daughter of Virus Riya (Illeana) and he fall in love with her. An annoyed Virus decides to dismiss the three friends. Will Virus succeed in his attempts? What happens to the ambitions of the three friends? That forms the rest of the story.

Vijay who can barely convince actors in emotional scenes is pure misfit for the role. Srikanth and Jeeva are also good as freinds of Vijay. The character played by Sathyan as Srinivas aka Silencer is adequate and evokes laughter through out the film. His speech in the college function is hilarious. The voice over lent by Sunil to this character is received well by the audience. SJ Suriyah’s cameo is impressive and comes at the right moment bringing the true tinge to the story. Satyam is ditto for Silencer character. Satyam performance is very well. Ileana should immediately gain oodles of weight, before she is seen in any further movies.She has gone skinny and certainly lost the glamour and oomph in her. Performance wise, no complaints about her.

Over all, except for slight modifications in few scenes (like Virus writing even with legs and few other jokes) right from dialogues, jokes to emotional scenes Snehitudu is xerox version of 3 Idiots.If you have watched 3 Idiots,you have to step away from Snehitudu in order to keep those brilliant scenes uncorrupted in mind.
