Fire Shankar (Vikram) is a guy who is a charm of movies and is trying to become a good villain. He happens to meet a old man Dakshina murthy (Viswanath). Dakshina murthy runs an home. His son wants to grab the property of orphanage to use for his politics. Akka who is a political party leader supports Dakshina murthy’s son. Dakshina murthy fights with his son and he is left as helpless. Mean while, Chemistry between Vikram and Deeksha seth slowly develops and they both fall in love with each other. Shankar stands by Dakshina murthy side.
Vikram has worked out well to suit the character. Viswanath who plays respectable old man roles generally chose the same role in this movie. Pradeep Rawat is as sincere and dedicated as ever. He donned many getups too. Deesksha Seth is limited to the first hour. She is hardly seen in the second hour. Sana is fine as cold blooded politician.
Suseenthiran direction is good. Editing, cinematography is neat. Yuvan Shankar raja’s music is good. Locales are okay. As such, the film doesn't have anything novel or creative but it is the way the film has been packaged and the performances that add great strength. While the first half goes about on a lighter mode with elements of comedy, romance and action, it is the second half that gets serious with various twists. Overall, this is a film which is meant for time pass entertainment and masala for two and half hours. At the box office, the film would require strong publicity to pull the crowds to the theatres.
