The movie begins good with very exiting fun filled moments. Janardhan Jhakad aka Jordan takes your heart with this endless love story of a Rockstar explanation why he is foolish.

Janardhan Jakhar (Ranbir Kapoor) is happy,  young boy studying and whiling away time in The Hindu College restaurant. 

Janardan has a bigger dream. A dream of being a rockstar like Jim Morrison! Janardan realises after that all musical stars and performers have one thing in common – disaster. They all have hurt painful heartbreaks to become what they are. Janardan forces himself to fall in love with Nargis (Heer), who happens to be his college mate.

Heer is gorgeous, stylish, talented, superior and the diva of the college campus. She has broken many hearts and so Janardan hopes she will break his heart too. He sets out to woo Heer with the purpose of getting his heart broken.

Rockstar is the journey of an young boy, who will finally become the Rockstar that he always wanted to be.

Ranbir Kapoor is an awesome actor.Nargis Fakhri looks mind blowing. She was also acted well. The on screen Chemistry between Nargis Fakhri and Ranbir Kapoor is electrifying. Rockstar is Shammi Kapoor's last film and the actor is simply outstanding in his small, yet important role.

The music itself is a delight. Each AR Rahman number is woven beautifully in the story, the high frequency of songs not hindering the storytelling, but enhancing the experience. Lyricist Irshad Kamil does an outstanding job, penning words that reflect the lead character’s state of mind and complement situations aptly.
