There is something that everyone should learn from Rajinikanth and his family. You need not to be in politics to serve people,” was the cryptic remark made by Lata, Rajani’s better half when his fans raising slogans asking him to join politics at a function.
“Many people are trying to rope him into politics, we can serve the people without any posts or any political platform,” she said during annual day celebrations of the Ashram Educational Institute which is run by Lata.
Three heavy weights of film industry were conferred the Rajani Legend Award. As coincide would have it Rajani’s mentor director K Balachander is also one of recipient of the Award.
A modest Rajanikant said: “I did not grow to the level of giving awards on my name that too for a senior genius like K Balachandar. From next year, there will be an Award on the director’s name as well.
Shammi Kapoor and Asha Parekh are the other recipients of the Award. A website on Rajanikant was also started and opens without internet. “It works with the powerof Rajani” says the header.
