Vijay's 'Nanban' receives Kamal's praises

Vijay-Ileana starrer "Nanban" the official remake of Bollywood '3 Idiots' directed by Shankar was released on January 12 and it is doing good business at the Box Office. It is the highest first week grosser for Vijay films in his career so far. The ‘Nanban’ fever has gripped south India and even the legendary Kamal Haasan can’t stop praising the film and Vijay’s performance.

Now that Kamal Haasan who is back from the United States after shooting some crucial scenes for his multilingual magnum opus 'Viswaroopam', a special show of 'Nanban' was organized for the Ulaganayagan at a preview theatre in Chennai. The Universal Star watched the movie on Saturday (January 21) at a preview theatre.

"Vijay, who wanted to show the movie to Kamal, made arrangements for the special screening. Kamal was thoroughly impressed after watching Nanban and was all praise for Vijay, Shankar and others behind the movie," sources say.

They add: "Kamal said Nanban has been carefully made without missing out the essence of the original ('3 Idiots') and at the same time without losing on the nativity front. He hailed Vijay for his performance."

The official fan club of Tamil cinema’s Ilaya Thalapthy (young emperor) took to the Twitter to express their happiness over Kamal’s comments and said, “ Ulaganayagan watched Nanban and appreciated Our thalaivar very much and encouraged Vijay to choose films like these in future(sic).”
