The announcement about the wax statue of Bollywood's dancing queen Madhuri Dixit at London's Madame Tussauds was made early January this year.

Known for her natural acting talent and graceful dancing, the 44-year-old is the latest Indian film star to join the A-list line up at the Madame Tussauds wax museum, which also houses statues of Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Now the news is that the much-awaited wax statue will be unveiled at London’s Madame Tussauds March 7.

“Madame Tussauds unveiling on March 7, 2012. See you then,” tweeted Madhuri, who has moved here from Denver to play a new innings in Bollywood.

With so many awards to her name and a career spanning over 25 years she undoubtedly deserves her place at the museum and huge interest is expected in the figure when she takes up residence on March 7.

Madhuri’s wax statue has reportedly cost 150,000 pounds and it was completed in four months by a team of sculptors and experts in hair, makeup and wardrobe.

The 44-year-old Dhak Dhak girl dominated the industry for close to two decades with hits like “Tezaab”, “Ram Lakhan”, “Sajan”, “Beta”, “Dil”, “Hum Aapke Hain Koun!”, “Dil Toh Pagal Hai” and “Devdas”.  The actress, who moved overseas after marrying doctor Shriram Nene, relocated to Mumbai recently with her husband and two kids.
