Anna Hazare on Tuesday began his three-day fast against the "weak" Lokpal Bill tabled by the government in Parliament. Earlier a host of Bollywood stars have openly supported Anna Hazare in his endeavor to make India a nation free from corruption. Now the latest to join in this list is none other than Jr Bachchan.
Coming out in support of social activist Anna Hazare, Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan today said he would support anyone who is fighting for corruption.
"I will support any x,y or z involved in such a cause for the country," Abhishek said when asked whether he would support Anna Hazare who is beginning his fast in Mumbai tomorrow.
Abhishek, who was in the city to promote his upcoming film `Players`, however, said that he will not be in Mumbai at the time of the fast as he is busy in shooting.
Asked whether he or his family would be taking part in the campaigning for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, he replied in negative saying none of his family members is now involved in politics.
When reminded that his father Amitabh Bachchan had actively promoted Uttar Pradesh in the past, Abhishek said that promoting the state is different from campaigning in elections.
